All Lifemax distributors must enroll by purchasing a Business Builder package for for $69.95. This package includes a personal website, back office, a promotional DVD, a training manual and flipchart for presenting the business. Once enrolled, there are 3 levels at which a new Lifemax distributor can activate their business. All three levels are based on a product purchase of Lifemax MIla at $45 per bag, each bag generating 30 points of Business Volume (BV)
The Silver Package: This initial product purchase is $270 and includes 6 bags of Mila and generates 180 points of Business Volume (BV).
The Gold Package: This initial purchase is $1,080 and includes 24 bags of Mila, generating 720 points in BV.
The Platinum Package: This is the big Kahuna. A new Lifemax distributor starting with the Platinum package buys 80 bags of Mila for $3,600, generating 2400 points in BV.
Lifemax pays weekly on product purchases by the distributor as well as sales to retail customers. The residual income model is a MLM binary compensation plan that pays matching commissions on new distributor activation orders (initial product purchases) as well as an override ranging from 2-10% per level 8 levels deep. In addition there is a 10% Group Volume bonus that is paid on the smaller of two legs. This is common with binary programs, and unfortunately it limits the real money a distributor can make because one side is always much, much smaller than the other. It is not uncommon for a distributor to have thousands of people on one side, but never get the weaker side going.
My Thoughts on Lifemax:
Nutritional wonder products are an old age favorite of the network marketing industry. While Mila may be a great product, and Lifemax a great company, building this kind of business is not as easy as they make it sound. The true residual income should come from recurring orders on autoship. This however usually results in distributors building up quite an inventory of products that never get used or sold. The end result is people quit or turn off their autoship. Think about it, if somebody starts at the Platinum level with $3,600 worth of product, unless they can sell all of it they will probably not stay on autoship too long. Hence the key to building Lifemax is generating new leads on a consistent basis so you always have new prospects to talk to. Fortunes have been made in the MLM industry no doubt. But it usually requires a lot more work than it seems at first glance. That will probably never change.
Regardless of how good a job Lifemax does at providing a quality product and managing the company, I would highly suggest venturing outside of the company to research some proven marketing strategies. The truth is that network marketing companies have not provided top notch training when it comes to generating leads and finding qualified prospects. You should talk to people you know about your business.
